Too Much to Do...Too Little Time...

It's getting harder and harder to find time to update this blog but I'm determined to keep it going! It may be a little behind schedule but at least it gets updated!

We had a great time camping last weekend at Tarryall again. Managed to get everyone together, the Bays and the Rodriguez family. Naturally we took the ATVs up with us and rode a little here and there. Vic and Kelly's girls, Makenna and Aniston just love riding on them and Kurt, bless his heart, took the girls for rides and so did Jared! The last time the girls were on the ATVs was when Kelly had her accident and broke bones and stuff... it was a painful and expensive trip!! I know she'll get on another one someday though cause she's a tough cookie but she's content just hanging out for now and that's cool.

Steve and Krystals kids; Tyler and Kayla are growing up right before our eyes. What great kids they are though. I hope ours turn out as pleasant and nice as they are! These may be their last few camping trips as Tyler gets ready to seek out colleges and Kayla going into high school. Where does the time go?

We did some target shooting and in the evenings the boys were being the gatherers and found firewood to keep us all warm. Jared is growing up so fast but having so much fun being"manly" with the Dads helping with the firewood! The look of sheer determination on his face was priceless.

The weather was windy most of the time and I mean hurricane force winds but it did bless us with one great evening of calmness.
We were able to actually sit out by the fire and have a conversation or two. The guys were also able to squeeze in a pre-dusk game of horseshoe. Later on when all the kids were in bed we were given a mini concert by Steve who is an awesome guitar player and all around musician. We sang all the oldies but goodies as they say!

These are the days that make the day to day grind worthwhile and the Summers fantastic!

  1. My daughter wants a motorhome so bad. She asked if she could put one on her birthday list. Now that would be quite the birthday present for an almost 6 year old!

Looks like fun. We sold our ATV last year. We really miss it. We will probably get another one in a year or two.

I could use another get away about now. Wish we had a motorhome to escape in. Lucky duck!
